Harvesting Keystone Rosen rye

Thankful for a successful harvest of growing Keystone Rosen Rye on the Kline Farm. With average rainfall down and higher average temperatures we harvested less than last year. With heritage grain we often trade lower yield for more flavor.

We’re excited to clean, screen and mill so we can begin the process of turning the grain into whiskey. In just a few short months we’ll be ready to plant next year’s crop. Rye spends Winter in the ground and can withstand temperatures of -30F.
